International medical charity Doctors Without Borders has said its staff witnessed Ethiopian soldiers executing four civilians in the country’s embattled Tigray region.

In a statement, the organisation also known by its French acronym, MSF, said three staff members had been travelling in a “clearly marked” MSF vehicle on Tuesday on the road from regional capital Mekelle to Adigrat, some 120km further north, when the attack occurred.
